Project Opportunity

Possible project idea for the group or by individuals interested.
Northwest Film Forum.
This quarter's film challenge charges Seattle filmmakers with creating their own unique anthem films, using the Star Spangled Banner or ANY anthem as a basis. For further incentive to filmmakers, the audience will determine the best film and the winning film will be screened before all future film challenges as a sort of Film Challenge Anthem.

Welcome to a new Semester!

Hey ya! thank you for electing me to help lead the club, I am excited for the opportunity to work with you all again and meet our new members. A few firsts to work on would be a short video for the t.v. in the lunchroom to kick us off and accompanying poster. If anyone would like to help or has any ideas please contact me.

Second, does anyone have any objections to meeting Mondays at noon? Or suggestions on a meet time? I would like to have one for sure once a month.

Some opportunities for future projects I have come across this February are:

1. www.sunnightsolar.com Deadline March 1. This one would be a weekend thing to get it in asap.
2. Adobe Design Achievement Competition Deadline May 2
3. A video for Cornish similar to the award winning video on http://rentonwa.gov/ Similar to it's intent but with our own twist.
4. A reel of all of our work, or newly made work collaborated together at the end of this semester, submitted to the open screening at 911 Media Arts Center to see it on the big screen. Details as follows...

Open Screening is held the 2nd Monday of every month at 8:00 PM in the screening room at 911 Media Arts Center, hosted by Greg Gould. Open Screening is an "open mike night" for video and digital media arts; an open forum for filmmakers and digital media artists- ranging from amateur to professional. Discussion follows each screening.

How it works: Bring your DVD or VHS, disc/tape. Make sure it's cued, maximum ten minutes in length or less, first come-first screened. Cost to submit or attend: $2.00 donation.

Anyone else have anything that they've found?
All suggestions are for fun and optional to do as a group or individually. Nothing is set in stone at this point.
